Terms of Service

These terms cover the Hunger Games Minecraft server at mc-hg.org, this website, our Discord and our store (together, "the server"). By joining or using any of them you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the server.

1. Not affiliated with Mojang

Hunger Games is an independent, fan-run server. It is not an official Minecraft product and is not approved by or associated with Mojang or Microsoft. You must also follow the Minecraft End User License Agreement while playing.

2. Who can play

• You need a genuine Minecraft: Java Edition account.
• If you're under 16, please make sure a parent or guardian is happy for you to play, and get their permission before buying anything.
• You're responsible for everything done on your account, so keep it secure.

3. Rules and moderation

You must follow the server rules. Staff can warn, mute, kick or ban players who break them, or who act in a way that harms the server or other players, even if it isn't listed. To protect fair play, the server automatically checks for cheats and keeps logs of chat, commands and gameplay. If you think a punishment was wrong, you can appeal it.

4. Purchases

• Our store is run by Tebex, who process the payment and act as the seller. Tebex's own checkout terms also apply.
• Everything sold is a digital item for use on this server only (for example ranks or cosmetics). It has no real-world value, can't be transferred or exchanged for money, and is delivered as soon as payment clears.
• Purchases follow the Minecraft Usage Guidelines.
• Refunds: because items are delivered straight away, all sales are final, except where the law gives you a right to a refund. If something you bought didn't arrive or doesn't work, contact us and we'll fix it or refund it.
• Opening a chargeback or payment dispute without contacting us first will result in a ban on all of your accounts.
• If you are banned for breaking the rules, you are not entitled to a refund for purchases.
• We may change, rebalance or remove kits, ranks and features over time.

5. Your content

You're responsible for what you post in chat, on Discord and in tickets. By posting it, you let us store and display it on the server and use it for moderation. Don't post anything illegal, hateful, sexual, or personal information about other people.

6. Availability

We do our best to keep the server running, but it's provided "as is". It may go offline, games may be cut short, and each game's map is deleted when it ends. We can't guarantee that the server will always be available or free of bugs.

7. Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the server, and our total liability to you is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms removes rights you have under consumer protection laws that can't be excluded.

8. Ending access

You can stop using the server at any time. We can suspend or end your access if you break these terms or the rules.

9. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page, and for big changes we'll announce it on Discord. Continuing to use the server after a change means you accept the new terms.
